DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to welcome Nanseera to The Reading Room on Friday\, August 9th. \nNanseera is an Atlanta/Kampala-based singer-songwriter with an old soul and a distinctive style.  The mixed-race\, London-born performer grew up in Uganda and Ethiopia\, moving to the United States for high school and college\, during which she spent a semester in France. All her travels and adjustments bring a nuanced worldview into her music. Taking inspiration from artists like Tracy Chapman\, Lianne LaHavas\, and Sheryl Crow\, she weaves together poetic stories of losing home\, love\, and sense of self\, then somehow finding them again.
